The Subaru Outback is back for another model year with even more features and capabilities to offer than before. The 2022 Subaru Outback lineup also has a new model, the Subaru Outback Wilderness. There are now eight total trim levels to the lineup of Outback models. Each of the 2022 Subaru Outback models is equipped with technologies that you will appreciate and enjoy.
Subaru StarLink Multimedia
The standard Subaru StarLink Multimedia system that is equipped on the 2022 Subaru Outback adds both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity to every new Outback model. The StarLink multimedia system can be accessed through two vertically-mounted 7.0-inch touchscreen displays in the Subaru Outback Base. However, the other trims of the 2022 Subaru Outback lineup are equipped with large high-quality 11.6-inch touchscreen displays. Both touchscreen displays allow drivers to easily access the various menus of the Subaru StarLink multimedia system, such as navigation and SiriusXM satellite radio.
Harman Kardon Premium Audio
The twelve-speaker Harman Kardon audio system that is equipped on many of the 2022 Subaru Outback models provides a high-quality audio experience. The Harman Kardon system is standard in the Outback Limited, Outback Touring, Outback Limited XT, and Outback Touring XT models. Over 576 watts of power are released through the eight-channel amplifier of the Harman Kardon system. A center channel speaker and a subwoofer are included with the twelve-speaker package, providing clear and crisp tones throughout the cabin of the new Outback. Any low-quality tones are picked up and corrected by the Harman Kardon Clari-Fi technology that is equipped with the entire Harman Kardon premium audio system.
Subaru EyeSight
The Subaru
EyeSight safety suite is equipped on every 2022 Subaru Outback model. A variety
of helpful driver assist and driver alert technologies are included with Subaru
EyeSight. There are several ways in which EyeSight will keep you and the
occupants of your vehicle safe.
Adaptive Cruise Control is a technology that is added to the new Subaru Outback with the EyeSight suite. Adaptive Cruise Control allows drivers to relax as they use the Outback's cruise control feature by actively adjusting the model's speed based on traffic conditions. To use Adaptive Cruise Control, drivers simply set the following distances that they would like to maintain behind vehicles and the Adaptive Cruise Control system adjusts the Outback's speed accordingly.
Lane Keep Assist and Sway Warning are both included with Subaru EyeSight as well. Lane Keep Assist actively applies steering inputs to the Subaru Outback to help drivers stay in their lanes. Sway Warning provides valuable alerts when drivers are gradually departing from their lanes.
Subaru EyeSight includes Pre-Collision Braking, allowing the Subaru Outback to avoid potential accidents. Pre-Collision Braking both alerts drivers and applies braking inputs when they are necessary. In dire situations, Pre-Collision Braking can apply the full braking force of the Subaru Outback.
Pre-Collision Throttle Management is a unique safety technology that is equipped in the Subaru Outback with the Subaru EyeSight safety suite. Pre-Collision Throttle Management is able to help drivers avoid collisions by actively reducing the power of the Outback's engine. Reducing engine power allows the Pre-Collision Throttle Management system to help drivers avoid driving into objects.
