How To Change Your Oil
If you are interested in changing your oil, there are a few important steps you need to follow. They include:
- First, turn off your car and make sure it is parked safely.
- Then, open the hood. There should be a small dipstick attached to the inside of your hood. You will need to use that to check your oil level.
- Identify the oil canister in your vehicle. If you have questions about where your oil is located under the hood, you should use your manual to help you find it.
- Then, unscrew the oil canister and insert the dipstick all the way to the bottom.
- After a few seconds, pull the dipstick out, and take a look at where the oil line is located on the dipstick.
- If the oil is low, you will need to add more oil to your engine. Or, you might want to drain the old oil and add new oil to the canister from the ground dot.
- Once you are done, make sure you screw the lid back on the oil canister tightly. Go ahead and return the dipstick to its spot in the hood, and close the hood.
If you have questions about how to perform this process properly, it is always better to reach out to a professional who can help you. That way, you know you have the right oil in your engine, and you know you have enough oil in your vehicle.
